Wednesday October 14th - Let’s Walk on Picota, Monchique. A slightly more challenging walk to the top of Picota (the second highest point in the Algarve) but we do start more than half way up. Great views and scenery on this 2.5 hour circular walk. Full details here

The Beijing National Acrobatic Circus is coming to Portimao, Algarve, southern Portugal for two nights on the 21st and 22nd of August. The 35 performers, gymnasts and acrobats will be performing their “Dreams - The soul of China” show, so go along and enter the colorful world made of dreams seen through the eyes of a little girl! It Barefoot Diva time here in Algarve. Whatever you do this week get down to the fishermans beach at Albufeira and see the truly great Cabo Verde singer Cesaria Evora. That`s the evening of the 22nd of July and things kick off at around 10.30pm. Best of all this gig is free. Cesaria, who is 68 next month, is a grammy winner and last time she played in Algarve, tickets were 80 Euro a pop, so you can see the value in this free beach concert. We normally show a video preview of the artists performing but we like Cesaria so much weve got 3 videos for you to watch so you can really get a feel for her music, enjoy the videos and see you there….

It´s Saturday the first of August, Head down to your local chemist and buy some ear-plugs and some caffine tablets. Your going to need them. Get onto the A22 Via Infante and head west. Take the Parkalgar turn off past Portimao. The Le Mans series racing has rolled into town for four days (30th, 31st, 1st and 2nd) and it´s a night race on Saturday night, all 1000 KM of it. There are also 6 support races taking place over the weekend, among which the CER, the Formula Le Mans, the Formula Renault 3.5…and a lot of other ones.
